Description

This area includes a coastal strip in the southwest of Boavista Island in Cape Verde archipelago.
In the area there are the following habitats: beaches, coastal cliffs, sand dunes, temporary streams, and shrubland.

Ornithological importance

In this area there is a record of the Iago Sparrow (Passer iagoensis), endemic species of Cape Verde. Highlight also for the occurrence of the Black-crowned Sparrow-lark (Eremopterix nigriceps), Red-billed Tropicbird (Phaethon aethereus), Osprey (Pandion haliaetus), and Brown-necked Raven (Corvus ruficollis).
