This area is a national park of the United States of America, in the state of Utah. It is located at the confluence of the Colorado Plateau, Great Basin, and the Mojave Desert.
In the area there are the following habitats: mountains, plateaus, valleys with steep slopes, streams, riparian woodlands, Pinyon-juniper woodlands, mountain meadows, scrubs, and arid areas.

Ornithological importance

In this area there is a record of 290 species. Highlight to the Spotted Owl (Strix occidentalis), California Condor (Gymnogyps californianus), Peregrine Falcon (Falco peregrinus), Ferruginous Hawk (Buteo regalis), Lewis's Woodpecker (Melanerpes lewis), American Black Swift (Cypseloides niger), Canyon Wren (Catherpes mexicanus), Bewick's Wren (Thryomanes bewickii), Bushtit (Psaltriparus minimus), Mountain Chickadee (Parus gambeli), Juniper Titmouse (Baeolophus ridgwayi), Steller's Jay (Cyanocitta stelleri), and Spotted Towhee (Pipilo maculatus).
