Ornithological importance

This area is important for birds of prey, especially the Booted Eagle (Hieraaetus pennatus), Short-toed Snake-eagle (Circaetus gallicus), Long-eared Owl (Asio otus), Barn Owl (Tyto alba), Tawny Owl (Strix aluco), Red Kite (Milvus milvus), Black-winged Kite (Elanus caeruleus), and Montagu's Harrier (Circus pygargus).
