Finch with a very large population (actual number in the order of many tens of thousands of individuals) and has a very small distribution area (Macaronesia).
Sedentary species and gregarious, occurring in the archipelagos of Madeira, Azores and Canary, mainly in scrubland and farms.
The evolution trend of the global population is apparently stable.
