Finch with a small population (actual number in the order of a few thousand individuals) and has an small distribution area (Canary Islands).Endemic species, occurring mainly in pine forests between 1000m and 2000m of altitude, on the islands of Tenerife and Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands.
The evolution trend of the global population is an increasing one.
