Summary

Species with a very small population (actual number in the order of a few thousand individuals) and with a very small distribution area (occurs in the North, Little Barrier, Tiritiri Matangi e Kapiti Islands in New Zealand).
Endemic species, occurring mainly in areas of lowland native forest.
The evolution trend of the global population is apparently an increase one.
